Ismael Mathay Sr.High School E-Library Rules:
- No I.D., no entry is strictly implemented. Researchers must personally register in the assigned logbook.
- Each researcher is allowed to use the workstation for 30 minutes. Request for extension is subject to the availability of the computer.
- Only one researcher is allowed to use per computer. “First come,First serve” basis will be followed.
- The computers may only be used for academic purposes.
- Researchers must work on their own assigned work station for the duration of their research and avoid moving around and avoid changing work station. Computers should be shut down properly after use.
- The librarian-in-charge must be notified immediately if a machine malfunctions, or if there is an evidence of computer virus.
- Researchers are not allowed to use diskettes or USB. Users must not save data files on the computer hard disk. Instead they should save data in the documents folder or shared documents folder using full name with corresponding file name for retrieval.
- Printing of researched materials may be requested from the librarian with the corresponding printing fees.
- Users must keep the library clean and orderly. Consumption of food or beverages inside the section is strictly prohibited.
- Silence and discipline must be observed inside the library.
- Defacement, changing, damaging computer system, program,relevant configurations etc. is strictly prohibited. Users caught destroying any equipment shall be held liable for the cost of equipment and be subjective to disciplinary action.
- The librarian is not responsible to any loss of personal valuable of the researchers.
** THE LIBRARY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE USAGE WHEN
RULES ARE VIOLATED.**
Internet Acceptable Use Policy
1. Ismael Mathay Sr. High School E-Library recognizes the school need for some, if not all of its students, teachers and staff to have access to the Internet while on the E-library, using school computers. As such, IMSHS has made the school decision to make the Internet avail-able to students, teachers and staff for school purposes.
2. IMSHS E-Library intends for the Internet to be accessed for school purposes and expects that students, teachers and staff will spend no more than 5 minutes per day accessing the Internet for non-business purposes.
3. IMSHS E-library specifically prohibits its students,teachers and staff from accessing the following types of sites using school computers:
a. Gambling sites
b. Social Networking sites
c. Peer to peer sites
d. Proxy sites
e. Any site engaging in or encouraging illegal activity
4. IMSHS E-Library reserves the right to use monitoring software to make sure the school IAUP is being adhered to by its students,teachers and staff. The school may record and/or monitor one or more students, teachers and staff computer and Internet activity for any reason and without any specific notice.
5. By reading this document and using the school computers and internet:
a. You agree that you have had the opportunity to review this agreement and ask any questions regarding this document.
b. You agree to adhere to the school’s AUP.
